Israel Hamas War: Israel’s PMO has denied reports that Israel has received a proposal, which includes a ceasefire. A report claimed that Egypt had promised Israel a 48-hour ceasefire in exchange for which Hamas would release four hostages. On this, Israel now said that if such a proposal had been raised, it would have been accepted immediately.
In fact, Egyptian leader Abdel Fattah al-Sisi said his country has proposed a two-day ceasefire in Gaza that would include the exchange of four Israeli hostages in exchange for some Palestinian prisoners. He also said that talks should resume within 10 days of the temporary ceasefire to continue efforts towards a permanent ceasefire.
